The Alphabet of the Kingdom

The Nation of Moderation

A verse operetta telling three centuries of the Saudi state, then carrying the nation through the twenty-six letters of the English alphabet.

Opening stanzas

Stanza 1
A hero named Mohammed bin Saud, Set the first state, of which we're proud. With wisdom, vision, and a strong hand, He laid the founding of our land.
Stanza 2
Turki bin Abdullah, with strength in heart, Re-stressed the dream to be a new start. He fixed the second Saudi State And started its glorious date.
Stanza 3
Then Abdulaziz, with sight so vast, Established the third nation to last. From glory to glory, its power grew, For three centuries, its dreams kept true.

  11. KKing Salman, so keen and kind — and K for Kaaba, our holy land
  12. LLoyal we'll be for our king. We'll always sing: Long live the king
  13. MMore and more of good memories, we love the founder Abdulaziz
  14. NNot in our names, evil will be, our noble nation's strong and free
  15. OObedient and outfit we are, and for our oath we reach the star
  16. PProphet for whom we always stand, with peace was sent to all mankind
  17. QQuiet and quick we go to peak, in all our ways quality we seek
  18. RRaise up roses in all the roads, while evil roads for sure we'll close
  19. SSpread seeds of love in every street, while extremists, sure we'll defeat
  20. TTowards talent, Tech, sure we will go, just see our trees how always grow
  21. UUnified we are in this universe, so let's unbind our grumpiness
  22. VVictorious, vast is our vision — 2030 is our decision
  23. WWhen we want to, sure we will win, and what we want, soon will happen
  24. XXerox our words. Excel in life, and for our goals we strive and strife
  25. YYear after year we yearn to be the best country for you and me

Deriyah

Just like a mount it stands with pride, Deriyah where heroes reside. Its history and heritage are great, The capital of the first Saudi state. Where the founder built it to last, To tell the glory of the past. Abdulaziz, King of all days, Drew heroism in all the ways. Deriyah roots twinkle like gold, To boast your past which will be told To everybody all over the world. Your citadels are grand and tall — Our old capital. You are our soul.

Theatre & operetta

Playwright, scenarist, theatrical director, and operetta writer and director. Wrote and directed the operetta Watan Al-Ezz, first-place winner at the King Khalid University operetta competition, and prepared and directed the full 1444 AH Saudi Founding Day celebration on the stage of Abha Literary Club.
